Many business owners look at their website as part of their IT solution. Whereas in reality nothing could be further from the truth.

Admittedly a website is a technological 'tool' that requires servers, IP addresses and HTTP protocols to make it function - but the actual technology it runs on is mostly irrelevant.

Ultimately a website is a marketing tool that should be seen as part of the larger customer engagement mechanism. We need the people searching for your products or services to find it, and then be able to access its content regardless of the device they're using.

The design of a website must inspire and reassure visitors that what you're offering is a quality product, backed up by a quality service - and that you're a professional organisation that's both established, and forward thinking.

It needs to reinforce your brand values in the best possible way, while at the same time be able to quickly and easily disseminate useful information that drives the user to the next level - in other words, help them make that conscious decision to take that next step - and make contact (or make a purchase)!

Ideally the site needs a powerful, flexible, simple to use Content Management System (CMS) that enables you to add fresh relevant content, from case studies to news articles and even new products etc. All very useful for helping with those search engine rankings.

Your website isn't an IT solution, it's a marketing tool, and probably the most powerful one you have.

the project cycle

Briefing Stage

Where design, messaging and system functionality is discussed with the client to ensure the finished project delivers on all counts.

Briefing Stage

Research Stage

Both on-line and off-line qualitative competitor (and customer) research is conducted to back-up any assumptions made during the initial briefing process.

Reasearch Stage

Design Phase

From information gleaned during the briefing stages, and additional data obtained from the research phase the initial design concept is created and refined.

Design Stage

Design Presentation

The refined website design is presented to the client. At this stage the client has the chance to comment and make any necessary amends to the design/message content.

Design Presentation
Development Phase

Development Phase

This is where the site starts to be bolted together along with CMS development work / bespoke functionality elements that may need to be built into the final project.

System Presentation

System Presentation

Once the site is in a wireframe environment a content management system presentation is conducted to ensure functionality compliance.

Propagation / Client Training

Propagation / Client Training

Content provided by the client is loaded onto the site and the client is trained on the use of the content management system.

Final Test / Site Launch

Final Test / Site Launch

Once the site is fully propagated final system tests are conducted and when satisfied the technical department will launch the site live onto the World Wide Web.

The latest version of our OminCore CMS provides an increased level of functionality over many current off the shelf systems. User friendly ‘on screen’ help menus and easily accessible ‘frequent task’ tutorial videos help smooth the updating and web maintenance processes.

Designed, developed and refined over the past 24 years OmniCore's powerful content processing engine caters for responsive mobile ready content, ensuring all site visitors regardless of the platform they're using can easy find and access the content.

The multiple images uploading facility decreases image handling times, and the server side image manipulation engine quickly reduces larger files to a more ‘web friendly’ size – ready to be inserted into the site pages where you need them.

Once any amends have been made the system automatically creates a preview page – which can then be set ‘live’ for instant viewing on the site. Internal pages are constructed from a variety of multi-purpose ‘content blocks’ that provide ‘drag & drop’ functionality. Any internal page layout can easily be duplicated to create re-usable templates – this system greatly increases the site propagation/editing process.

The fully controllable navigation system automatically updates to reflect changes should any of the site pages be deleted/taken off-line. Multiple levels of additional sub-navigation can be added to any main navigational item providing enhanced flexibility.

If you'd like to see OminCore in action just give us a call, we'd be happy to setup a full demonstration 01384 294 444.
